Our commitment is to work with YOU the owner to produce YOUR boat, not ours. We work with you from the planning stages of your new boat, advising on the possible, and from our own experience, guiding you away from the impossible!

Experience? More than 30 years involvement with all kinds of craft from supertankers to rowing boats: 20 years involvement with inland waterways and several years living much of our time aboard our own narrowboat.

Our boats cover everything from very "trad" with boatman's cabin and "engine 'ole" to the most modern equipped with bowthruster, generator and washing machine!

You may have ideas on the colour scheme with which you wish your boat to be painted or for the inside furnishings but if not, we will be happy to help.

We commission the hull and superstructure and follow the boat through to completion of the last lick of paint. You are involved in all aspects of construction through to final trials and acceptance of your boat. Call and see us to discuss your requirements.

We are members of British Marine Federation (BMF) and of Canal Boatbuilders Association (CBA). This keeps us up to date with legislation and other issues and also in touch with British Waterways.

We use the BMF Contract of Construction for your protection and our own. The contract is approved by the RYA and the Office of Fair Trading. The contract, amongst other things, protects your investment during building and is only available to BMF members.

We have contacts with both a marine insurance specialist and finance houses who can advise on both of these aspects of boat purchase. Written details are available on request.

All our boats are CE marked and comply with the requirements of the Recreational Craft Directive (94/25/EC). They not only have a Declaration of Conformity as required by the Directive but we also have an independent surveyor check the boat and issue a Boat Safety Scheme Certificate.

We are also recommended installers of state of the art communications equipment to keep you online on the cut. (www.wirelessboats.co.uk)

Our new boats carry our own 12 month warranty and equipment manufacturers own warranty cover (excluding travel time and expenses over 10 miles).
